    Formula display result...help

    Hi,

I'm using the following formula =SUM((T2:T245 ="Retail EH Approved")*(L2:L245<=5000)*U2:U245) to basically look up the value of all Retail EH Approved within the sheet but the result coming up is only for the line the formula is on yet if I click the FX button it shows me the correct value!

    Help please!!!

Could you post a sample workbook so we can see what you're actually trying to do?

The formula is an array formula.

Array formulas need to be entered using the key
combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER).
Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT key
    then hit ENTER.

However, you can use a simple SUMIFS function:

    =SUMIFS(U2:U245,T2:T245,"Retail EH Approved",L2:L245,"<=5000")

    Re: Formula display result...help

    Hi thanks for your reply!

The spread sheet is on my works computer and stupidly I only emailed myself the formula to ask about!

Basically its a list of vehicles with different profile names and values of the vehicle so example (very basic example!)

    Vehicle Profile Value
    BMW Retail EH Approved 5000
    Ford Franchised 6500

I'm trying to add up the value of all the Retail EH Approved cars that are under 5000 which when added manually come to about £40k however the result being displayed in only the £5000 which coincidentally is on the same line on the sheet as my sum. however when I click the FX button it adds them up to £40k!

Apologies for my vague answer but im trying to get to grips with my new excel!
