increase of percentage from a single figure

Hi all, in need of some help. i have a total figure in cell A1 which increases over time, what i need is in cell B1 to have 15% up to 10,000, then 35% from 10,000 to 49,000, and then 40% from 49,000
i am sure this is possible but i can not figure it out.

    many thanks Joe

Re: increase of percentage from a single figure

I gave you two different possibilities. this link will show you how to set it up in a table and use sumproduct for it...
    https://www.get-digital-help.com/how...n-one-formula/
So your value of 65,000 is in cell A1 (i used it twice in cells C13 and C14) The tables I set up were based on what I assumed, table 1 begins in C8 and goes through E11 and assumes that the first 1500 doesn't count. So that turns out 21325 (cell D13).
The second table (in C17 through E19) takes it from 0 to 10000 etc and applies 15% to the first 10,000. The calculation for that is in D14 and matches the value you have in 21,550.

from 0.00 to 10,000 is 15% hence the £1,500 being 15% of £10,000, i was just trying to show the percentages that needed to be added together. if that makes sense.
