    IF FUNCTION formula help Real Estate Condo Project absorption

    I am developing a real estate for sale condo pro forma and I'm stuck on using the correct IF function. When the condos are all sold and the project is completed I would like the following time periods to be blank. Attached is not the pro forma but the specific issue that I am dealing with. Any guidance or help would be fantastic. I will be on the forum to answer any questions until this formula is figured out.

    Re: IF FUNCTION formula help Real Estate Condo Project absorption

    Based on selling same condos per period I used the following in row 34

    =IF(COLUMNS($D$34:D34)*$C$29<=$C$27,COLUMNS($D30:D$34)*$C$29,"")

    in row 35

    =IF(D34="","",$C$8)

    in row 37

    =IFERROR(D34/D35,"")

    See attached

    Fails if sales per month vary!!! I need to re_think.

    John Topley thank you for replying. If you change the # of condos or the condos sold per month it does not calculate correctly. Please let me know if you know a way around this.

    Try this in e34 and copy across

    =IFERROR(IF(R34=R35,"",R34+IF((R34+CONDOS_SOLD_PER_MONTH)<=TOTAL_CONDO_UNITS,CONDOS_SOLD_PER_MONTH,0)+IF(R34<TOTAL_CONDO_UNITS,IF((R34+CONDOS_SOLD_PER_MONTH)>TOTAL_CONDO_UNITS,TOTAL_CONDO_UNITS-R34,0),0)),"")Leave other formulas as my last post

    I found a shorter way of doing it. I plugged this into cell E15. Just in case a situation like this arises again you have another way to approach it.

    =IF(D15="","",IF(D15+$C$10<=$C$8,D15+$C$10,IF(D15=$C$8,"",$C$8)))
