I have a list of categories on Sheet 1. I need to return an invoice number (text) to Sheet 1 from Sheet 2 which is a database of the general ledger. I need the invoice number returned to only match the invoice that was issued for period (month) that corresponds to a period (month) listed on Sheet 3. There will be numerous lines on Sheet 2 which may reference the same line of business (cookie), but only want the invoice number returned for the period (month) that it corresponds to. Line of business > looks to find the period on the summary sheet (Sheet 3) > returns the invoice number from Sheet 2 for that period.
Sheet 1
Lists each line of business (example cookie)
Sheet 2
General ledger in columns (invoice numbers contain letters and numbers); there is also a column that corresponds to "cookie" as a reference
Sheet 3
Summary page that includes the title of the workbook and reference which period (month) the report is for.
