hello everyone
so I'm frustrated as I'm trying to find the right way of counting days an aircraft flown each month
please find attached excel sheet.
in sheet 2 , I'm trying to calculate in C2 the number of days that the aircraft flown based on dates in sheet1 C:C without repeating counting dates. I've seen couple of complicated formula :
=SUMPRODUCT((Sheet1!C:C<>"")/COUNTIFS(Sheet1!C:C,Sheet1!C:C&""))
calculating came 119 in sheet2 cell H2 which is this is the right total but for all the dates in C2. it didn't filtered based on each month
i tried the following formula
=COUNTIFS(Sheet1!C:C,Sheet1!B:B=B2)
calculating came 0 . in Sheet2 cell I2
Sheet 2 been built in Basic way which i had to enter all data manually .
(A column represent the number of days of each month in 2015 ) and i entered these manually because i wanted to get in E column the number of days that my aircraft didn't fly .
F Column also represent in percentage the datess of aircraft flown ( C2/A2)
your help is really appreciataed
regards,
hani
p.s / I'm using Mac operating system and the file is save as .xlsx
