Hi all,
I want to insert symbols by using conditional formatting.
Simple , but just dont get it??
I use if function
Now I want symbols like Red , Blue and Green instead of letters displayed .

Conditional Formatting does just that, sets the format under certain conditions.
Looks like you're changing the values of the cell not the format.
Use the formula you have to change the values.
To change the format use this.
Select the cell, e.g. A1
Conditional Formatting
New Rule
Use a formula to determine...
2 formulas needed
=(A1="green")
format as green
=(A1="red")
format as red
Use Format painter (paintbrush icon) to copy to other cells

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
Just to check, by symbols you don't mean fill the cell green if value in cell equals green for example do you?
