help with getting cells to move in equivlant values.

Hey,

Right.

Im looking at getting Cell A2 (MILES per gallon) to Match Cell B2(COST per gallon.)

So if i MODIFY cell A2, to maybe 90 miles instead of 45, then cell b2 will then change to match that. (in this example it would be 8.14)

then i would have D2 be the value of b2 * c2 (example 4.07 * .45 = 1.83)

So, when ever I modify a2, b2 will change accordingly which will then change the final answer.... to what i want?

heres a picture for reference,,,

Hi, welcome to the forum

upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: help with getting cells to move in equivlant values.

I'm not understanding by what you mean by a sample workbook instead of a picture?

The desired outcome would be that the A2 and B2 are linked, which would fit into the rest of my equation.... i have B and C linked so that the answer from there multiplication ends up in D2.

But I need it so that when A2 is changed, B2 is changed automatically in proportion of A2.

Example = A2 = 45 Miles Per Gallon B2 = £4.07 Cost Per Gallon

So is I changed A2 to 90 MPG, then B2 would automatically adjust its self to £8.14

Once it does that, I believe I had D2 already set up to calculate the expenses.

Like I said - not all members can even see your pic
Plus we cannot work with a pic, we need to see a sample workbook

I hope this applies as a samplework book

OK thanks

Try this in B2...=A2/11.0565110565111
11.0565110565111 is based on 45/4.07. If you have a different cost/gallon, then you would need to use that instead
