Group together rows using specific data from 2 different columns

Hello all,
So here is what I'd like to learn:
I would like to group rows together, on the condition of two columns meeting certain criteria.
The two columns are Weight and Number. I need the sum of the Weight to be equal to or less than 42,500 and the sum of the Numbers to be equal to or less than 24.
Ideally, I'd like them to be grouped together in the most efficient manner, so that with those two criteria met, the fewest groupings need to be created.
Is there a formula I can add that will separate these into groups under those conditions?


Any help is greatly appreciated, I am new to Excel but am fascinated by its capabilities! Thank you!

Do you have an Excel file with the data you're talking about?

Sometimes it's not just the function that's important to know - but also how your data is structured.

But it sounds like you might need to do this in a computer program that's iterating calculations to find the best combination of numbers that'll give you the fewest number of groups.

But hard to tell unless you give us a starting point.
