    Raise Lower Even

I have a spreadsheet where I use a simple subtraction formula to compare a current value to a previous value. If the value has increased the number returned will greater that zero, less than zero if the value has gone down and zero if it has not changed.

In the next column I need a formula to show an R for any number above 0, an L for anything below 0 and an E for a 0.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Maybe this...
    =IF(S2>0,"R",if(S2=0,"E","L"))

Another option might be to use Conditional Formatting in the subtraction cell to make teh cell change colors based on those 3 "rules"?
