sum multiple if's and able to easily expand

I have multiple tasks that are checked off when complete. I want to automatically sum the value of each task at the end of the row in which it sits
Is there an easier way to make it simple to rite and easy to expand tasks?

so how do you define a task checked OFF
can not see them in the sheet
do you mean a dates ? in columns J,L,M,N,P

    if so
    =COUNT(J3,L3,M3,N3,P3, "<>")

Yes, where ever there is a date that task has been completed. I tried to make it simple so they can put anything in there and as long as it is not blank it recognizes the task completion. I didn't understand your solution, it is not an expression I am familiar with.

I see how your thinking but that doesn't really work. It gives me the number of cells that have tasks completed but each completed task is worth a different value
    i.e. H3 =2% (H2) * (78.6 (Q3) - 8 (O3)) =1.4
    H6 =2% (H2) * (36.9 (Q6) - 0 (O6)) =0.7

Sorry I dont understand the formulas and why you are not removing the glass install

When there is a date in the cells
    J3,L3,M3,N3,P3
what are you adding up for each of those columns

Re: sum multiple if's and able to easily expand

Anything written in cells J3:J8 and L3:N* and P3:P8 indicates that the work is complete. The calculation for that is done in column R. Here is the formuls for R3 which evaluates which tasks on row 3 are complete.

    =IF(J3="",0,H3+I3)+IF(L3="",0,K3*$K$2)+IF(M3="",0,K3*$K$2)+IF(N3="",0,K3*$N$2)+IF(P3="",0,O3)

    H3 is a calculation of Q3, O3 and H2.

    =(Q3-O3)*$H$2

Where Q3 is the total labor for that line, O3 is a specific amount of labor and H2 is a percent of the labor remaining after subtracting O3 from Q3

Re: sum multiple if's and able to easily expand

What I'm looking to do is write it in cleaner way so that I can expand it easily.. Right now it would take a long time to add 3 more tasks. and this seems a little convoluted. Basically multiple nested if statements. My Question is, 'Is there an easier way?"
