Allow sorting of a protected cell

Hi everyone,

I am creating a tracker for my team at work and I have a formulas down column S in cells 1-48.

I want my team to be able to sort the entire spreadsheet and include this column - otherwise it will throw the formula off anyway - but I do not want them to be able to delete, change or do anything to the formulas. Is there a way to do this?

If you right click your mouse on the Excel tab and select Protect Sheet, a window should pop up allowing you to pick and choose what action can be performed when worksheet is protected.

I did that, but the sort function doesn't work even if you check it - it prompts me that the cell is protected.

Looks like the sort option is broken as documented in some websites. I think the only alternative I can think of is using macro, but not sure if you are open to that.
