date range given how to calculate total days per month in that range... help

Hi all,

I am doing budgeting and have a range of dates with a start date in one month and the end date in another, for these dates I need a formula that will identify the number of working dates that was in one months and the number that was in the other
ex: start date: 10/19/2014 end date: 11/04/2014 mm/dd/yyyy

maybe I cant do this wit a formula and need a calender it references? if anyone has any ideas please let me know

You can enter the holidays, or use a similar function to introduce a definition for weekends

this link solves this question for those wondering, it was not about =networkdays between the two days as that tells me the total work days only, i wanted to know the total days in each time interval (month)
