Date filter not listing all months in column

Can't attach the file or an extract for various reasons, which might make this impossible to answer.

Have a spreadsheet with column containing dates in Sept, Oct and Nov.

When I applied the "filter", the Drop List contains only Sept and Oct.

There are no "blanks" in the filled range, and no evidence of Macro or formula limiting the filter.

Never seen this before, so hope someone can provide an insight?

Not even an extract of the column with the problem data?

The dates may not be entered as Excel dates. They could be text. What format are you using to display dates? Select a cell with a date in Nov. and look at the formula bar to see how the date is entered.

If it's not something obvious then I recommend trying again to attach the file.

Re: Date filter not listing all months in column

Thanks to everyone for getting back so quickly.

I can't attach anything because the file itself is on a "corporate" laptop, "save as" is - not surprisingly - blanked (and Developer tab is missing, so I can't "comment out" the Macro in Workbook that does that), and something blocks the computer from connecting to anything not on their server! I'm also reluctant to try and "copy" anything to a memory stick in case the system rings alarm bells somewhere.

The dates are "dates" and not text, because even MORE bizarrely, ANOTHER column in the same spreadsheet DOES pick up the November dates, and when I filtered on THAT column, it displayed the Nov dates in the "problem" column quite happily!

I had wondered whether the Filter was "handling" just the first 100k rows, but that is wrong because the column it does filter starts November dates in row 120k+
