Inserting images to scale : Please help !!

Hi guys

I am trying to insert images to scale in excel. All of this is in one work book. I have a table with the left column A containing names and column B containing the images. However I also have a drop down link on another worksheet within the same workbook, whereby if I select a specific name then the picture would appear in another worksheet. Basically where the image appears I would like it to be at a scale of 1:500. Is this possible? Is there a way of manipulating the aspect ratio because it does not seem to have this ratio? or am I missing something?

Where 'image' refers to a variable that your image is assigned to.

Thank you very much for your response. However how do i incorporate this vba into my workbook What i mean is that: (a) I have the list of images in worksheet 1. (b) I then use VLOOKUP to call up the image to worksheet 2. (c) I then want the image that comes up in worksheet 2 (cell say for example B2) to then appear to scale using the solution you have given me. This is where I am stuck at and I nee to also ensure it is something that I am able to then replicate for multiple images that are going to be called by a drop down list.

Could you upload a small sample workbook that matches the layout and format of your real one?

Images are not something I tend to work with, and your method with VLOOKUP (or any formula for that matter) to pull the image to the other sheet is not one I've used.

I have a feeling that the method I've suggested might not work too well with a formula. The methods that would be needed to execute the code would probably cause the image to shrink repeatedly rather than scaling it from source.

I will upload a sample within the the hour. and that way it would make more sense. Thank you very much for your time I really appreciate that. That is true, formula makes it difficult and everytime i try and call the image with the VLOOKUP makes it really difficult or it calls on the wrong picture. So I would agree with you that perhaps vba and also perhaps INDIRECT MATCH to call the images. I will send you a sample so you can make sense of what I am saying.
