I need somebody skilled in formulas to help me. I am trying to get a formula that can return the cumulative, annual vacation days per employee on my timesheet. See file enclosed. Each row represents a taken/submitted vacation day by someone in my company, so the formula I need has to consider the “Resource Name” (column B) and the “Time Entry Date” (column C) in order to return the results I am showing in column E. Highlighted/colored rows show where the “boundaries” are (where the sum range of submitted days starts and ends for each employee).
So, for instance: rows 2 to 10 are the vacation days submitted in 2014 by Alonso. In total he took/submitted 9 vacation days during that year.
I guess a “SUMIF” or an array formula could make it, but I didn’t know how to apply them in this case.
