Time management file question

I have the attached file where the staff manager will enter a letter that will represent 30 minutes of a certain duty.

I now want to count those letters and calculate how much time was spent on that duty.

in this example, the manger put "R" 8 times which represents 8 30 minute blocks, so the answer would be 4 hours.

There is already a COUNTIF formula: (BD10) what else do you want?

=BD10 * 0.5 = Hours spent

Ha... Thanks. I didn't realize it was that is to multiply by 0.5..
