Conditional formatting in Column B based on Value in Column A

I've searched all over the internet and cannot find a solution to how conditional formatting can be applied to my problem. Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated!

My goal is to highlight any cell in Column B in green if the value in Column A of the same row contains the word "Total".

If it is only "Total" in A

Select B1

select CF

=A1="Total"

Apply formatting

Applies to B1:B100

Here's a method for if there is more than just "Total" in the cells in Col A.
