    Question Conditional formatting based on 2 cells

    I have a gantt chart template for Excel that shades cells in the calendar area, based on task start and finish dates.
    What I would like to do is have the colour it shades based on a value from another cell - which will signify what the task type is ie meeting, email, deadline.

    This is the current formula for shading the cells based on start and finish dates

    =AND(((N$4+1)>=$G10),((N$4+1)<=$H10))

    G10 is the start date, H10 is the finish date and N$4 the overall calendar start date.
    My task type value is in C10

    That can't be right. There's too many brackets ...

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    And you'd have something like:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
