how to count the value of a cell with text in it

hi guys

hoping to get some help, Im trying to either conditional format a range of cells or add a formula. the cell will have a random number and specific text I want to add the value within the cell to another cell.

Thanks for changing the title to something more meaningful.

Now you need to explain in a bit more detail what you have and what you want to achieve. For example, what does your data look like - is it text number text, or number text, or text number ? Is the text separated from the number by a space, or some other character, or nothing at all? Which cell(s) does the data reside in?

Give a few examples of your data so we can try to recognise patterns, or better still, attach a sample workbook and then we can try things out before posting a solution - the FAQ describes how to attach a file to one of your posts.
