Using SUMIF to sum total values within a date range specified by the date minus

    Hi all
Seeking your friendly guidance once again.
Essentially, I am trying to work out a cumulative limit utilisation.
So basically, trying to Sum the limit utilisation based on the date minus 21 days.
Seemed simply enough to me to begin with, but I'm having absolutely no luck... See my problem below. Hope it's clear.

    Try in C2:

    =SUMIF(B:B,B2-21,A:A)

    Drag down

the only way I can get it is to use a helper column. I created a column of dates that are 21 days less than your dates in column B, then I put this formula in col C =SUMIFS(A1:A50,B1:B50,"<="&B1,B1:B50,">="&D1)

I just tried it without the helper column and I got that to work too... =SUMIFS(A1:A50,B1:B50,"<="&B1,B1:B50,">="&B1-21)

    In your example you have no date = any B-21 (i.e. 23-Dec-14 - 21 = 2-Dec-14 ) so result will be 0
for test add date 2-Dec-14, or 2-Jan-2015 and try again.

Not clear that B2 is exactly equals 21 days prior date, or B2 is within 21 days prior.
