Fix conditional formatting ranges

Is it possible to fix the ranges of the conditional formatting so they won't change when there are changes, such as a row added or deleted and things like that?
Right now it constantly messes up and splits my ranges into multiple parts and that's really annoying..

Ideally I want to assign a formatting to lets say A:A and that's it. Doesn't matter what happened and where, just keep it to A:A.

    Thanks!

Based on personal experience, I would say no, you can't.

If you do regularly add and delete rows, you probably need to check it regularly.

If you use macros, you could use a workbook open event handler to delete and re-establish your CF.

    Thanks.

I have about 10 CF rules there.. is there an easy way to put them into macro instead of writing them one by one?

    Re: Fix conditional formatting ranges

What might happen to make A:A not A:A anymore?
(and maybe that was just an example, but avoid using full columns in CF, it will start to slow your file down)

Can you give some examples of what you have and how that is being changed?

    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Best bet is to post a sample workbook so we can see what you're starting with.

    Might be other recommendations
