Linking hours worked to Job number

    Good morning all!

I have a daily time sheet where an employee enters start and end time for specific job numbers throughout the day(they have about 10 blank vertical cells to enter hours). For example, if cell A1 has 7:00 am - Cell B1 8:00am than Cell C1 calculates the hours worked. This ascends vertically, so when 8-9am is entered, it's done so in A2 and B2. Here's where the difficult part comes in (for me). In cell D1 the job number is entered - E1 contains a production number (EX: #1) which pertains to a specific type of work - F1 also contains a production number pertaining to a different type of work.

On my second worksheet what I have is a list of job numbers EX: 10210 - 10500. What I want to accomplish is the calculation of all hours worked for a specific job number in the adjacent cell on sheet 2(if 10210 on sheet 2 is A1 then i want to calculate all hours in B1). The problem that I've ran into is that once other job numbers are entered in cell D (sheet 1) the formula breaks. Not only that but if a job number cell is blank it wont add either.

After I can get that formula functioning I want to break down the hours into two categories from E and F.

Attached is the excel file. If there is any help to be given I would be very much appreciative.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully I'll hear from you soon!

Thank you so much for your quick response and help, I didn't think of using a simple SUMIFS function!

Question, for the last part of the equation (criteria1) using an array of cells doesn't seem to work. It only recognizes the first cell in the array. What's the easiest way around this?

but you are looking for the sum of the hours logged to 1 job!

Copy of Time Printing.xlsxCorrect, but after the hours are summed I want to break them apart depending on which table they are in ( cost center or activity). Is it possible to have the criteria as a range?

I figured out that I can just use the +symbol and add the same formula for the next cell instead of creating an actual range.

Thank you again for your help
