Question Creating conditionally format cells based on formatted cells in another sheets

    Hello everybody,

I have a Excel-spreadsheet with 5 worksheets. The first worksheet is build like a mainmenu, which contains hyperlinks to the 4 other worksheets. The 4 other worksheets are containing conditionally formatted cells. Is it possible, to create conditionally formatted cells for each worksheet in the main menu / Sheet 1, which are getting red if something is formatted red in the specific worksheet? I've searched around the internet but no one has got a familiar problem, because I want to use more worksheets.

You can imagine it like this:

    Sheet 1 / Menu

Link to Sheet 2 Cell turns red if something gets formatted red in Sheet 2
Link to Sheet 3 Cell turns red if something gets formatted red in Sheet 3
    ...
    ...

Sheet 2 - If something turns red here, it will automatically be "send" to the specific mainmenu cell, linked with this sheet

    A
    B
If I am Bigger than B1 I will turn red Number 1
If I am Smaller than B2 I will turn red Number 2

I hope you can help me solving this problem
    Kind Regards

Re: Creating conditionally format cells based on formatted cells in another sheets

Conditional Formatting cannot determine the colour of a cell, ie if it is red on Sheet 2.
If there is a conditional format that set the colour red on Sheet 2 then just use the same rules that turned it red in the first place.
If the cell was turned red not by conditional formatting then VBA is the only way to determine the colour of a cell.

I'm using Excel 2013 which allows you to Condtional Formatting when referring to other sheets (which I didn't think you could do).

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
