    CFP student need help! horizontal to vertical row referencing on seperate work sheets

    Hi there,

    I'm working on a case study for my CFP and am horrible with excel. Trying to get a horizontal row in my RRSP tab to mimic a vertical row so that any changes made will also reflect on the other tab.

    On the attachment I'm referring to the RRSP tab, Sam's DC plan balance. I want to get that to mirror over on the NW statement tab and follow and additional contributions/withdrawals etc. How do I get it to do that if its going from horizontal to vertical?

    Hi jonnycorr and welcome to the forum,

    I don't see any "NW Statement" tab in your workbook. Could you be more specific on what cell on the RRSP tab was to be duplicated on what cell in which other tab.

    Here's an example of making references to a horizontal range as a vertical range.

    Can't add to that in functionality, but also explore using indirect which is much more robust than index (you or anybody else can add, delete or modify rows without destroying the logic)
