Using four columns to auto populate in a 5th column

I have a spreadsheet that has four different service columns (within each of the columns there is a drop down list with a couple of options / each) depending on the answers from the columns I would like either "VR Sampling" or "Composite" to auto populate.

Re: Using four columns to auto populate in a 5th column

Base on the 4 service options I want Sampling Type to Auto populate either "VR" or "Comp" or "None"
Essentially if Column B has Nutrient then Column E needs to populate Comp
If Column B has scouting and Column C has Ultra or Platinum Column E needs to populate VR
If Column B has scouting and Column C has None Column D needs to populate None
    Does that make more sense

    Hi Hubbs,

I'm almost done... on your last scenario:

If Column B has scouting and Column C has None Column D needs to populate None

is the results really of Column D or for Column E? because you have drop down for column D..

    Tnx

    Hi Hubbs,

    Hope this answer your query.

This is on the assumption that Column D does not need FORMULA.

    Regards,

Ultimately its based on what is answered from C
    If Ultra = VR
If Plat = VR & VST
    If Nutrient = Comp
    If none = None

Thanks so much for your help

I lied there is an error in that...
If Column b= Scouting Column E shouldn't read none, it should defer to Column D
    Does that make sense

Re: Using four columns to auto populate in a 5th column

    Hi Hubbs,

What if the scenario is COLUMN B is SCOUTING and COLUMN C is NONE? what is your answer is E?

    also, kindly see my comments

The only words that trigger a comment in E
Any line with Nutrient in it should populate "Comp" in E (What are the nutrients you are pertaining?)
Any line with Platinum in it should populate "VR" in E - OK
Any line with Ultra in it should populate "VR" in E - OK

If its scouting and column c is none column e will be none
    Only Nutrient will = Composite
Ultra and Platinum will = VR

Nutrient is short for a Package we have and sell as a nutrient management package.

    Hi Hubbs,

Please see updated I made for the template.

Also, take a look on the macro codes I made for the COLUMN D to populate it as NONE once the COLUMN B is SCOUTING and COLUMN C is NONE.

    Tnx
