    FT Employee Count

    Hello,
I now need help counting all my FT employees per month.

If you see the attached file, I have an existing formula that I used to determine how many employees total per month I have for 2015.
But now I need to know how many FT employees per month.

I'm not able to attached my file????

check the size of the file
also - make sure there is dummy info - this is a public forum

To attach a file to your post,
click "Go advanced" (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage Attachments",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

    Re: FT Employee Count

If you change the entries in column G to TEXT entries instead of formatted dates...

Entered in J5 and copied down:

    =SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT(B$5:B$11,"mmm yyyy")=G5),--(C$5:C$11="Full Time"))

    Re: FT Employee Count

You're going to have to post a sample spreadsheet file (not a pic) so we can see what the problem might be.

Make the file as SMALL as possible but still demonstrating the problem.

    Re: FT Employee Count

This works in the sample file.

    =COUNTIFS(B$5:B$9,">="&G5,B$5:B$9,"<="&EOMONTH(G5,0),C$5:C$9,"Full Time")

However, none of the sample data met any of the conditions so all the results were correctly 0. I did change some data to meet the conditions and those were correctly counted.

Here's your sample file with the formula implemented. I added a few more data rows.

    Re: FT Employee Count

    Or try this: =SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT($B$5:$B$15,"mmm yyyy")=TEXT(G5,"mmm yyyy")),--($C$5:C$15="Full Time"))
