I have this formula:
Which returns a list like this:
N/A
4
4
4
2
N/A
2
4
3
3
I'm trying to average the numbers for males and females:
But this returns a #div/0 error. I then tried using count and sum and they both return 0. I set the format of the cells to numbers, which made no difference.
I've recently been upgraded to windows 10 and Excel 2013 and I'm noticing some odd things, with formula's that used to work with multiple data types returning #NA errors but then working after they were inputted again. Any ideas?
Edit: I've just noticed that the numbers resulting from the first formula are aligned on the left, rather than the right. The formula is used in four locations, all behave the same way. I use a similar If formula elsewhere and that functions perfectly fine. The formula itself returns the right results.
Edit2: Cracked it - It's the "" around the numbers, means they aren't treated as numerical data and thus the formulas don't work. Remove the " and it all works.
