Formula to return Blank cell if referenced cell has no entries, if not use formula

Hi All,
I need a formula to return a blank cell if the referenced cell has data, and if it does, to use the formula.

I have days to be used in range A1:A25 to determine tasks between start and end dates of an event. Depending on the minus or plus number of countdown or count up number of days (from start/end dates), C1:C25 returns the workday (date). However, because not all of the cells in range A1:A25 are needed, the empty cells in C1:C25 returns the start date.
Could I have a formula that returns an empty cell if there is no data marked in A1, and return the formula used in the range C1:C25 if there is data in A1.
I can't used the formula in my previous posts of returning Y/N/NA, because I actually want a formula to be run.
