    Function won't work in spreadsheet

    My data spreadsheets in Excel are not responding to a formula. This spreadsheet has a (data labelling) macro in it.
    The formula that I've used many times and does not work now, is just the absolute formula in a cell that makes one cell the same throughout the spreadsheet, i.e. $D$5.
    I have columns wherein I want one cell to always be the denominator, for example: =B5/$D$5, with the entire column having $D$5 in its denominator.
    In the cell that I am copying from, when I click on the bottom right of the cell, there is a red plus sign with three options to click.This function has always worked in my Office 365 Excel spreadsheet but now all it does is copy down the number above instead of copying down this formula when I scroll down the column.
    Could this problem be due to the macro within the spreadsheet?
    How can I get this function to work and also have the macro in it?
    Or, maybe it has nothing to do with the macro.

    Try pushing F9. That forces the worksheet to calculate

    substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires

    I appreciate your guidance very much.
    Tried to find this answer for the past five days, even Microsoft support desk said it would be $500 for someone there to help me.
    So, your answer is VERY valuable, and so is this forum!

    This means your spreadsheet is set to Manual Calculation. I do not know about Office 365, but it is typically under File>Options>Formulas
