Formula for allocating stock to a given requirement

Hi All,

Looking for some help on a conditional format.

On the attached sheet I have a list of items in cells E3-7 and F3-7 and a requirement in cell C3.

I'd like to highlight cells in column F that add up to the requirement in C3, either exactly that number of closest to it, but over it.

For example on the attached sheet the requirement is 941 and we have various pallets with various weights in column F. So it should highlight cells F3-6.

Any ideas if it can be done?

I'm not sure what the rest of your sheet looks like, but the following CF rule applied to cells F3:F7 works for what you've shown:

=SUM($F$3:$F3)-$F3<$C$3
