Calculate total rating / ranking

Hi guys

I'm in need of some help,for the life of me I can't figure this out

I have a sheet which I will basically fill with some sports data... you can see in the sheet,cells f5 to f22 have the ability for me to apply a star or no star to those cells..its the same for cell columns J,O,S,T,U and V..then in cell AA5 I want to show the total number of stars calcuted bases on cells mentioned previously..so the most it can say is 7 and the least is zero.. You can pull down stars and apply them in the darker blue cells only...

Can anyone help me with the formula..
