Match function not work even 2 cells are true

Hi,

I have checked to cells that they are equal to each other (true).
But the match function does not work.
Once i press f2 and enter in cell A3, the match function works.

Please advise how to solve it ,
as it is just a little part of the data that i need to process.

Not sure how or why that's happening, but there's some strange attribute to the cell.

How did the value get into that cell, is it from a query, or copied from a web page or something?

Aside from the 'why', here's a possible solution.

Highlight column A
Data - Text To Columns
Deliminated - Finish.

That should resolve it without having to F2+Enter every cell one at a time.

These data are in an excel file generated from accounting software such as MYOB, Saga.
