Trying to calculate- compares two dates, chooses later date, tells days to current date

Lets say we have two dates.
One date is the scheduled date of arrival and the second date is the actual arrival date.
We are trying to calculate days in shop from which ever of those dates is the later date.
So I am trying to figure out how to compare the two dates, choose the latest of the two and then calculate the number of days between that date and the current date.

    Formula: copy to clipboard

format as general, because excel will probably try to format automatically the cell with formula as date.
    Best Regards,
