Detect an instance across worksheets

I have 75 worksheets. The worksheets are listed in a column named "TABS" on a hidden sheet. For each worksheet, cell E10 could have a "y" or a "y1" or a "y2". How do I count the number of instances between 75 worksheets? This is what I've be trying, no luck!


=SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'"&TABS&"'!E10"),"=y1"))

Although you don't need the equal sign, "y1", your formula is syntactically correct.
