How to Formulate a way to Draw a Shape by Number Input?

Sorry for the confusing title. What I am trying to do is create a way to that A1=Triangle, A2=X, A3=Y, A4=Z

In those cells (A2-A4) you can put a number and that will draw a triangle based on those value in those cells. If I can just get a basic start with this I can work on making it more complex, for various shapes. But I'm not sure how to start this.

    Thanks,

This will almost certainly require VBA. I am also thinking that Excel is not the greatest tool to do geometry.

What are X, Y, and Z? I don't even know how to do this with a pencil and paper given what you've described. Are those the lengths of the sides? If so, which side is the base, left, and right?

If you draw a triangle, then change the numbers, do you want to change the existing triangle or create a new one?

I would like to be able to create shapes. X,Y, & Z could be any number (well just assume they represent inches).
I want to be able to put values in those cells and have a triangle appear off to the side somewhere. Then if I needed to change the value of one side I could manipulate the shape to the desired outcome.

VBA is fine if necessary, but could you help point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Sorry but you didn't answer the question. What do x, y, z mean with regard to the triangle you want to create? Please re-read my post. Thanks.

X,Y, and Z represent the length of each side of the triangle. If I put 7,7,7 I would get a perfect triangle, if I put 9,9,9 I would get a perfect triangle that is bigger than 7,7,7. If I put 7,7,2 I get an isosceles triangle shape.

    That make more sense?

How about this then: If A1="Square" how can I get cell A3 to display a JPEG that I have custom made? That seems much more feasible.
