    Conditional Formating?

    Hi there,

I have a very specific need to test my data.

basically I have a chart with employee information including their hire date in column J. These employees have 4-5 trainings they have to complete annually, but what I am concentrating on, is whether or not the employees hired from 06/01/15-02/29/16 have completed their trainings in a 30 day period. I have pasted each training completion date in columns k-r.

I thought having a conditional formatting in column k-r will highlight the new employees who haven't completed their training.
I used something like Rule: =(k2-j2>30) but this obviously didn't work. I tried using an IF statement but I didn't know how to incorporate the 2015 employee hires for the criteria.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Conditional Formating?

I actually did something very simple.
In front of the hire date, I added a column with formula, =j2+30. This gives a 30 day deadline so I think the conditional formatting might be simpler? (I cant figure out how the formula works). The problem is I have employees in the list hired from previous years, and I only want to highlight the 6/1/2015-2/29/2016 range of employees.
