Text function for weekdays

This is driving me nuts. I have a column of dates, and I want to return the weekday. Easy enough I use...

However, this gives me only a three character weekday such as "Mon", or "Fri". But what if I want to get "Monday", "Friday", or "Saturday"?

But it just gives me a #VALUE! error.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

It should just be

=TEXT(A1,"dddd")

Thanks! I had tried that - but there was another error elsewhere in my table that was causing all sorts of chaos. All resolved now!
