    [SOLVED] Average with a condition

    Hey guys!

    Here's my problem:

I have a set of data that relate to figures for each day of the year. I want to get seasonal average all while separating week days from week ends.
I have a column that already returns 0 for week end days and 1 for week days.

What I need to be able to do now is make averages say between 21/03 and 21/06 but I want Excel to ignore all the week-ends.

Has anyone got an idea on which function I can use?

    Re: Average with a condition

I am trying. Maybe you could help me understand how it works.
I we only consider the 7 days of the year (2015), I can see that 01/01, 03/01 and 04/01 are week ends or holidays and the 4 other days are week days.

How do I set up my AverageIfs function to only consider the data relating to these 4 other days?

Can you post a SMALL sample file and show us what result you expect?

A SMALL file will have about 20 rows worth of data.

    Re: Average with a condition

That won't really work for what I'm trying to get to I think.

Any idea how to write a function that basically says "average all the figures from HERE to HERE but ignore all the values that have their Day_Time=0"?
