way to match 2 or amounts to 1 amount, debits and credits!

Hi there,

I have a problem with many transactions and no unique reference again!
In 1 column, I have many amounts, e.g. -367.1, -36, 67.8 etc (please see attached).

What I would like to do is put a match where debit = credit. The problem is 2 credits may make up 1 debit e.g. -87.1 and -9 make up the amount for 96.1.

Is there a easy way to identify / match them?

Problems include:

Blanks in between,

Not in order

Any more info required, please let me know.

Without a unique identifier it can only be a trial and error to match the sum of multiple amounts to equal zero.

If the example is a snippet of remainiing data from a Bank Reconciliation I can suggest resorting the data by date and then trying to visually match debits and credits.

This approach for a bank reconciliation is risky as you will not know if you finish up matching the incorrect amounts.
