Date formating + Multi column+ Multi format, date combining+

    A B C
    3/17/2016 20 2016
    2/24/2016 27 2016
    1/21/2016 24 2016
    12/17/2016 21 2015

    1. I am trying to get Column A and B to have the year from column C which is formatted as general.
    2. I want column B to have the month from column A and the day from column B which is formated as general text.

    1:So D5 should be 12/17/15
    2. E5 Should be 12/21/15

    Re: DATE Formating MADNESS

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

Describe your problem (in words): what you have, what you want...

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

Not exactly clear what your expected results are, but:

I added this to column D:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
    and this to column E:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
This will create a date based on year of Column C and month and day from Column A into Column D and will create a date based on year of column C and month from COlumn A and day from column B into Column E.
