Use a pivot table, as this is EXACTLY what they are meant to do. Just filter out (BLANK) and you get your desired result.

    In Cell E4

    =IF(ROWS($A$1:$A1)>COUNTIF($A$4:$A$18,"<>"),"",INDEX(A$4:A$18,SMALL(INDEX(($A$4:$A$18<>"")*(ROW($A$4:$A$18)-ROW($A$4)+1),),COUNTBLANK($A$4:$A$18)+ROWS($A$1:$A1))))

    Copy down and across

If you find it interesting, than use the option MikeTron showed you with a pivot table.

a pivot table is a built in solution in Excel, which expands in every new version of Excel.
Notice my main language is not English.
