Create a duplicate tab from a master and have it automatically update any new data added

    Hi

I am working on a Quotes Database which records daily quotes. Each week I need to send this out to various offices to follow up on the status of these quotes. Instead of giving them access to my master sheet (Tab MasterDB) I would like to have them enter their feedback in the tab Feedback. So I need all the data (all columns and rows) to be copied into the tab feedback automatically. Also any new entries in the Master tab should automatically update in Tab Feedback.

I tried using a Microsoft Query but it keeps giving me an Error of "Too few parameters. Expected 1" and I have no idea what that means or how to resolve it. Is there any other way of achieving this? Or please help to resolve this error..

Secondly, in Microsoft Query there was an option to filter the data - so I could have a tab for each office and when I update the master tab, the office tabs would update automatically. If possible, I would like to set up my database in this manner so each individual office can access the quotes relevant to them without sorting through other offices.

    Thanks for your help.

I'd have to see both the source and the MS-Query command string to answer the question of "Too few parameters. Expected 1" error.

This error generally means that you are looking for a field that doesn't exist. Sometimes it's a bit arcane: for example, the source data may have funny characters or spaces in them and has to be "escaped" with single backquotes.

Go to Data -> Connections and click on the connections and then click on properties and select the second tab of the dialog box. This will show both the connection string and the command string for the query. Copy the connection string and post it. Also post the header fields of your source data. I might be able to tell something from looking at these two pieces of information.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
