Smile Selecting Cell Value Based on a Number of Criteria

Hello all - excel novice here been handed a rather tricky puzzle to solve so I'd be extremely grateful for any help.

On Sheet1 I have 5 data validation menus from which you can select a number of options for a product. (Option1,Option2,Option3,Option4,Option5)
Based on these selections, I need to search their corresponding columns on sheet 2. (ColumnA,ColumnB,ColumnC,ColumnD,ColumnE)
I need excel to find the row in sheet 2 where all options criteria are satisfied, then offset to columnF and extract its price.

So, if Sheet1, A1 = Sheet2, A:A and
Sheet1, A2 = Sheet2, B:B and
Sheet1, A3 = Sheet2, C:C and
Sheet1, A4 = Sheet2, D:D and
Sheet1, A5 = Sheet2, E:E

Then match corresponding columnF value. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help!

P

I think this is what you want, make sure it goes into an array (CTRL, ALT+ Enter)

Please Login or Register to view this content.
This finds the value in column F of the row that has a match of A1-A5 with colums A-E (all in the same row)

@ Scottie, you should try and avoid using full-column references in ARRAY formula, it can start to slow the file down

QuantumP welcome to the forum

If what Scottie gave you was not what you wanted, I suggest that you upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
