Cell that doesn't show 0 when route cell is blank

    Hi all,

I'm new to this so hope it's okay to post in this section.

I am creating a Euro 2016 document on Excel 2010 for my school and have experienced some issues:

When a result is entered into one page (results page), it comes up in a pupil page (then calculating the points they got based on their prediction).

The first issue I experienced was that when a space is left blank in the results page this puts a 0 into the pupil page, which, if matching the pupil's result, would calculate some points that they don't actually have yet (the points table will calculate points inaccurately until the true result is typed into the results page).

To combat this issue, I selected the show a 'show a zero in cells that have a zero value', which meant that it would remain blank in the pupil page. This is where the second issue came:
The second issue is that if zero is then entered into the results page it still appears blank in the pupil page, which is not what I need!

I hope that this makes sense and that somebody can help. If you need further explanations or have any questions please let me know.

    Luke

    Hi,

You need to DESELECT the 'show a zero....blah blah' not Select it.
