    Extracting Records

    Hello,

I'm quite new to excel. Will someone be able to help me with a simple problem? All I need is to extract all records depending what class I type in cell E1.

    A B C D E
    Matt A 80% A
    John A 60%
    Casey A 50%
    Paul B 10%
    Linda A 95%
    Raj B 65%
    Karen A 10%
    Pete B 10%
    Adam A 5%

    so the results should be:

    Matt A 80%
    John A 60%
    Casey A 50%
    Linda A 95%
    Karen A 10%
    Adam A 5%

    Thanks

It isn't clear where you're storing your master list, but take a look at the attachment and see if it does the trick. It should filter the master list on Sheet2 based on what letter you enter in E1 of sheet1.

This array formula** entered in F1:

    =IFERROR(INDEX(A:A,SMALL(IF($B$1:$B$9=$E$1,ROW(B$1:B$9)),ROWS(F$1:F1))),"")

** array formulas need to be entered using the key
combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER).
Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT key
    then hit ENTER.

Copy across to H1 then down until you get blanks.

    Format column H as Percentage.
