Copy rows to new tab based on date and completion.

I have a calibration list that has due dates and a column for completion that is marked with an "X" when done. I want excel to automatically find all rows of data that have a date before today (past due) and not complete (no "X" in complete column) and copy them to a second tab labeled "Out of Calibration". Additionally it would be nice to change the color of the "Out of Calibration" tab to red (if that's possible) if any data is present and only transfer certain columns from the transferred row. Can someone help me with how to accomplish this? I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

    Hello maxwema,

Yes it is possible through either VBA or just through Array formula - VBA is much simpler in using and neater, and will be better when you have a large amount of data. For the colouring, you can always set up some Conditional Formating.

Other than that, if you have a small sample workbook with some unique dummy data, that'll be easier for others to help you too.

    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Here is an example spreadsheet. I want the rows for unit 5, 9, and 13 to automatically show up on the "Past Due Items" tab and the tab to show red if possible.

Additionally it would be nice to only have the Area, and extended due date columns transfer to the "past due items" tab for past due items.
