Length of time to text help

Hi,

I've received a file with length of time values in the format: [h]:mm:ss and this is giving me some difficultly in converting the numbers to text.
Eg what is displayed in cell A1 is
386:04:00
referring to 386hrs and 4mins however, what shows in the formula bar is
16/01/1900 02:04:00

Is there any way to change this so that 386:04:00 does actually refer to 386hrs and 4mins and 0seconds?

Is it screwing up any of your calculations? Excel's notation in the formula bar is just it's way of storing 386 hours as 16 days and 2 hours. Are there any functional difficulties?

(Single 'm' and single 's' to not have leading 0's)
