    average excluding zero's not in a range

    what is the Formula to average excluding zero's but the cells are not in a range but in different locations on the sheet.

    Can you be more specific about the ranges?

    Are there other corresponding cells that can be used as a key to determine which cells to average?
    Like, average cells in Column A if the corresponding cell in Column B = "x" or something?

    Can you attach a sample workbook?
