Need help in concatenating different range of columns into single row for each record

    Hi Team,

I am into testing hence use excel a lot. Most of the time I need to prepare test cases where I need to prepare 2000+ test cases. Need to know is there a formula where I can concatenate the below information with a special character . Please find the attachment for your reference where I have prepared test cases based on the given product with the combination of action type , action type option, access type and access type options.

It would be grateful if you can give me a solution to this problem

you may achieve this by creating the following SQL code in MS Query, and then load the table back in Excel:

where _A, _B, _C, _D and _E are defined names for your data in Column A, B, C, D and E respectively (including the heading row).
See attached workbook and Google about "Using SQL Statements in Excel".

    Hi Jewel Sharma

Thanks for the reply but i do not have access to MS.
i get the product details from Business analyst and they get it from customer management inventory. i get the data as per the eg i have given and then i need to make the combination of test cases with action type and access type and upload into testing tool so that users can execute testing. is there any formula which i can use in excel to get the expected result. Like your result was correct but can this happen in excel.

    Regards
    Gopal

    hi Gopal,
MS Query can be used within Excel. See attached image of where to find it on your Excel Ribbon. As I mentioned, if you get stuck on how to use MS Query (it is sometimes not intuitively clear), just google for it and you should see some examples with steps.
