    Index/Match Function Returns '#VALUE!' Error

I am using an index match statement which is aimed to return text in Sheet 1, pulling the text from Sheet 2. It is being looked up against a date in Sheet 1, with the date column in Sheet 2.

I am recieving an error which reads '#VALUE!'

Here is essentially my function: =INDEX(Text Column, MATCH(Date, Date Column,0))

    =INDEX('Sheet 2'!$AO$6:$AO$10000,EQUIV('Sheet 1'!$O$2:$T$2,'Sheet 2'!$D$6:$D$10000,0))

Assume EQUIV is the same as MATCH?

refers to a range, not a cell. Should probably be

Perhaps with EQUIV replaced by MATCH
